Oh, do we have a story for you. This sweet Chihuahua was originally adopted from Pet Savers back in 2019. Recently, we received a call from Caddo Parish Animal Services about this very dog. It turns out the current owner had requested the dog be euthanized simply because they no longer wanted her. Mind you, this isn’t the original owner who adopted her from us. Sadly, this poor pup has been passed around from person to person over the years. But here’s the twist: upon inspection, Caddo realized that the dog is in good health, isn’t aggressive, and is as sweet as can be. Thanks to her microchip linking her back to us, they reached out to see if we’d take her in—and of course, we said yes! So, long story short, Perry is back with us now. She’ll be getting a thorough vet check soon, but based on her personality alone, she’s an absolute gem. 🚨 Meet Beaux: Our Brave Mountain Cur Mix! 🐾 We’re thrilled to introduce Beaux, a sweet female Mountain Cur mix with an incredible story. Beaux showed her smarts and courage when she literally jumped into a police officer’s car at the police station here in Shreveport. She seemed to know exactly where to go for help, and thankfully, she found it! The kind officer let her rest in the car for over an hour while she recovered from exhaustion. Beaux happily gobbled down some dog food before they reached out to us, and we were more than happy to welcome her into the Pet Savers family. At her first health check, we found that Beaux is at a great weight and has strong, healthy teeth. She does have some skin issues caused by mites, but we’re already on it—she’ll get the care she needs, and we’ll help her coat grow back shiny and beautiful! We’ll also schedule a full vet check soon to make sure she’s in tip-top shape. Beaux doesn’t have a microchip, so we’re holding her for now while we search for her original owner. Hi there! I’m Bubba, a handsome tricolored Australian Shepherd who’s just a little under two years old. My life took an unexpected turn when my beloved owner passed away, but I’m grateful that a kind-hearted foster stepped in to care for me and reached out to Pet Savers for help.
